. out the door, 39 right new in napa. you are going to find temperatures across the bay area, 44 in san rafael, and 47 in san francisco, and mountain view down to san jose seeing patchy fog with temperatures at 44 and 41 in los gatos and antioch is at 39. the visibility is trying to improve. it is not wide-spread visibility just pockets, less than quarter of a mile to half a mile in napa and santa rosa but it is shifting to the east and south. livermore down to half a mile visibility. do not be surprised if you have clear spots and you drive and see pockets of dense fog. right now ten miles visibility toward san jose. here is a look at our forecast. areas of fog this morning. we will see sunshine. remain aing temperatures this afternoon. and 60's before the big cold blast on wednesday, thursday and friday. our highs today are in the 60's. 53 in campbell and 59 for half moon bay and sunshine in redwood city to palo alto and san francisco warming to 59: santa rosa is 63 and 64 vallejo and 61 in union city and livermore is 61 and 60 for pittsburg. how is traffic? >> good conditions. if you

at san francisco airport and seven at napa. this is a brisk morning along the coast. inland valleys, we are calmer so we are finding the coldest temperatures there. this is all going to bring us to the 30's by 7:00. by noon, upper 40's, hanging out at 50 with mostly sunny and dry afternoon and the heavier coat for the evening as we drop into the upper 30's to mid-40's by 7:00. we will start this weekend by going partly cloudy tomorrow but it will be dry for saturday. more sunshine on sunday and a slight warming trend begins on monday. >> back to eastbound 80 in the better chicago area we had an early alert with a major accident. you can see the flares are still out there. the accident has been long gone and the flares are confusing the drives who are merging to the left to avoid hitting that area. some are driving right over the flares so hopefully that will burn out. chp will leave them on the scene until they flare out. westbound we have a stall on right hand shoulder at university and a backup there behind that. otherwise you are flowing nicely in the macarthur maze with no delays at

no moisture out there to speak of. but you can see it is another chilly morning with 37 in napa and santa rosa and san francisco is at 47. san jose is 42. we have 37 in livermore the visibility map showing this is moving around and the national weather service canceled the advisory for the north bay and east bay possibly too soon with quarter-mile visibility and half a mile and the north bay with independence pa and santa rosa less than half a mile and livermore reporting quarter mile. as we progress during lunch time hour temperatures will warm and we will have hazy sunshine and warming into the low 60's. by 4:00, a few more clouds move in overnight we will look for the clouds to thicken up and temperatures drop by the 7:00 hour. there is very dense fog and highway 4, between antioch and pittsburg has a handle on it. >> we have abc7 traffic app with very thick fog between antioch and pittsburg and westbound highway four could be sluggish but that is typical leaving antioch headed toward concord. this app is free to navigate your commute downloaded from apple app or google play. and eastbound

in concord and 42 in livermore and 43 in napa. let's go outside to the skycam ra network. it is crystal clear right now in downtown. you can see the haze across the middle of the screen. that will be moving out as air quality will be improving over the next couple of days. let's get a look. we have the storm track producing rainfall across washington and oregon and plenty of cold air trapped back into the pacific. this is going to arrive and fast over the next 48 to 72 hours. temperatures will likely drop some 10 to 20 degrees in the forecast. as we have been mentioning, showers coming our way. cloudy skies from the north to the south bay tomorrow morning and gradually throughout the day, just a slight chance of a shower. we will save our best chance throughout thursday. it's not even a lot of rainfall. a lot of the forecast models pushing just offshore. it's a very slim chance to get a shower on thursday morning. if we see anything at all, even trace amounts here across the bay area like it's projecting, we will likely have snow at very low levels, potentially down to 1,000 feet. that would

monday afternoon. right now we have 38 degrees already in napa. 39 santa rosa. 49 in san francisco. it's still 50 at half moon bay. you see san jose and livermore 40 degrees. i wanted to show you the visibility, because the dense ground fog will be with us for the early commute. three-quarters of a mile in santa rosa right now and that fog is drifting by the novato area redo dues go it to quarter of a mile in some locations. concord is reporting light fog as well as the livermore valley area. these are definitely areas that will be affected by early tomorrow morning. we're going to cold temperatures overnight because of the clearing has taken place. patchy dense fog and dry and warmer the next few dies and then by mid-week, temperatures will start to drop and we will introduce a chance of showers. overnight, temperatures mid to upper 30s in the north bay. that is where the fog will be persistent in the valley areas. 40s elsewhere. 38 for antioch, 36 for livermore. this is the rainmaker that brought us the showers and since pushed to the south. as it did the clearing took place across t
